On December 1st, Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss will be hosting a Black Desert Online community event in South Korea. Called "Festa", the event is designed to show off content currently in development and that will be released over the coming months. While the event is being held in South Korea, the keynote will be livestreamed and subtitled in English to allow western fans to be in on the news as it breaks, including the release date of the Archer. Black Desert announced last week that Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games will team up to hold a community event – Black Desert Festa. This will take place on December 1st in Seoul, South Korea’s SETEC convention center, and will feature a keynote with new content that is currently under development for Black Desert Online. The Black Desert Online site has been updated with information released by the development team during today's BDO Festa 2018. Of particular note is the impending removal of the Renown system, the release announcement for the Archer class and the reveal of the new O'dyllita territory. The notes on the forum begin with the hoped-for effects of both the Renown system and the Caphras Stones. However, over time the development team admits that the two did not work harmoniously and created an ever-widening gap between top end users and everyone else. To that end, Renown will be removed from the game, though Caphras Stones will remain.
