A few weeks back Tina shared a detailed guide on SEO benefits of Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP). Needless to say, it’s important for us to have AMP enabled for our blog as with time it’s getting more traction & gives a better user experience. Currently, AMP is not a mobile ranking factor, but it would be wrong to consider this as the only deciding factor for enabling AMP. We have already covered the major benefits of AMP earlier in this post. On 13th October 2016 Google officially announced the addition of new AMP testing tool in search console. To use the tool, you can head over to testing tool here & add any of the pages from your blog to analyze the AMP page with the real Googlebot. The tool tests the validity of the AMP markup as well as any structured data on the page. You can use this tool on your smartphone browser as well. This tool will make it easier for us to find the common AMP error on our web page & also help in seeing the code … [Read more...] about [Official] AMP Testing Tool by Google: Test Your Website Today

Blaugust Results
A Phenomenal Blaugust The time has come and as I said in my original post this year, I would tabulate the results and post them on September 2nd. This month really was an absolute deluge of content, and there is really no other way to say about it. I know I personally struggled to keep up with it all. I have to say however one of the best moments for me was reading the many “last posts” of the challengers. They all seemed to have a theme of “this is what blaugust taught me” or “I am proud of myself that I survived”. Reading each of those was so amazing. As I remarked yesterday I feel like the bulk of the community is not quite sure if they want to give me a hug… or flip me the bird. It is interesting being both Hero and Villain at the same time. After reading the posts… I can be perfectly fine with either distinction because the end result was pretty awesome. This year we had far greater … [Read more...] about Blaugust Results
Sea of Thieves’ patch today mops up bugs and addresses respawn griefing
Still arr-ing and ahoy-matey-ing and avast-ye-ing in Sea of Thieves? Today’s patch… well, it’s a wee one. Rare says it’s fixed a bunch of bugs, including the install bug, the “falling through the boat” bug, the matchmaking lockup, and the bounty captain spawn bug. You also can’t screw up mermaid teleporting anymore. And as for the ongoing griefing? “When a ship sinks, we have significantly increased the distance at which the crews new ship will respawn. Ships will now respawn outside of visible view of the ship that sank them. This is in response to lots of player feedback which highlighted that the previous spawn distance was resulting in ‘griefing’ behaviour and stalemates at the forts!” The studio does note it’s still aware of character customization borkups, delayed achievements, weapon equip issues, and DLC display problems. If you’re grumpy about the amount of content in the game, or want to spar with … [Read more...] about Sea of Thieves’ patch today mops up bugs and addresses respawn griefing
Pokemon Go organizers apologize for live event debacle, saying they’re ‘horrified with the results’
Over the weekend, we reported on the distastrous Pokemon Go Fest in Chicago, where thousands of paying ticket holders spent most of the day waiting in line and dealing with connection issues and bugs that made the game they were there to celebrate virtually unplayable. Massively OP’s Andrew Ross did a piece for us yesterday outlining everything that went wrong and how frustrating it is for Niantic’s fans to watch it make mistake after mistake. Well, the silver lining is that Niantic is stepping up to take full responsibility and attempting to make amends. “Obviously they can’t completely make it up to all the people who have come out to Chicago today, but they want to extend the fact that they’re extremely apologetic and unhappy with the process and the results,” a Niantic spokesperson reportedly told press. “So hopefully this is something that we will never see replicated again, learn from this and move on. […] Just know that the staff … [Read more...] about Pokemon Go organizers apologize for live event debacle, saying they’re ‘horrified with the results’
Economy-breaking Old School RuneScape bug results in unprecedented server rollback
Old School RuneScape had a bit of a hiccup this week as the game was suddenly taken offline to allow Jagex to investigate a potentially economy-breaking bug, ultimately resulting in an unprecedented server rollback. Although the bug in question was initially unspecified while the team set about fixing it, Jagex has since provided some details on what exactly went wrong. The short version is that the code for the pickpocketing update, released earlier today, included an undetected logic error that allowed players to use pickpocketed coin pouches to convert other items into massive amounts of coin. Because the effects of this bug were so far-reaching, the devs had no choice but to initiate a server rollback, the first in Old School RuneScape’s history, which the devs describe as “an immense undertaking.” Jagex acknowledges that, although the bug was its fault, it quickly became aware that a number of players were exploiting it to line their coffers with ill-gotten … [Read more...] about Economy-breaking Old School RuneScape bug results in unprecedented server rollback
