FOX21 has acquired the rights to the RPG game Vampyr earlier this month to make a TV show adaptation of the game’s story. Vampyr launched worldwide last June, reaching #1 on Steam, the internet’s largest video game distribution platform. Vampyr is game developer DONTNOD’s follow-up to its Peabody and BAFTA Award Winning game, Life is Strange, which DJ2 Entertainment is also set to executive produce. DONTNOD CEO Oskar Guilbert goes on the record to say, “we believe it is a fantastic premise for a television show. This is a new and exciting way for fans of the game, as well as the uninitiated, to enter and engage with VAMPYR’S rich, deep story. While the Million Arthur series of mobile games did not find success in the English market, developer Square Enix has big plans for the series in its native Japan and China. After announcing a couple of new Million Arthur games, Square Enix recently announced a TV anime series for one of the games, Han-Gyaku-Sei (Rebellious) Million Arthur, set to launch later this year. The game itself is a mobile MMORPG developed by China’s NetEase which is also scheduled to be released this year. Here is a preview trailer of the upcoming TV anime! Popular voice actors and actresses taking part in the anime as the six main lead characters include Sora Amamiya, Tetsuya Kakihara, Ayana Taketatsu, Natsuki Hanae, Inori Minase, and Yuichi Nakamura. I was talking with the guys on our PixARK server today about my plans for what I want to do next in the game.  I've decided I want to build a base on the back of a brontosaurus! That has always been a goal of mine, even before I bought the game, but now it's time to make this a reality. How's that going to happen? Well, on our server the brontos are on a different continent. That means we'll have to tame some massive manta-dino and strap a platform on its back. Then we'll have to tame a bronto and walk it onto that platform, and 'sail' it back to our continent.  My grand plans for this brontosaurus base in PixARK include having the whole thing decked out with electricity, automated defense turrets, air conditioning, and a complete home away from home. Thinking about the 'building a home' side of PixARK, I had flashbacks of that TV show called Dinosaurs. Play Secret World LegendsYour eyes aren’t deceiving you, though I did a double-take too: Deadline is reporting that The Secret World aka Secret World Legends is getting a TV adaptation produced by Johnny Depp and his company Infinitum Nihil. “It will center on a team of undercover agents and the shadowy war between secret societies: the Illuminati, Dragon and the Templar. Central to the plot is their battle against the supernatural in an adventure that spans across our world, and incorporates the realms of ancient myths and legends, as well as today’s conspiracy theories and headline news.” There are several notable writers and producers attached to the show already, including Gudrun Giddings, who apparently optioned The Secret World’s media rights several years ago. Blizzard and Disney are partnering up to bring the Overwatch League to Disney's stable of channels including ESPN, ESPN 2, ABC and Disney XD, all considered "traditional TV channels". This comes after the League's first season debuted exclusively on streaming channels such as Twitch.  The two year agreement begins today with the League's inaugural season playoffs. ESPN, ESPNEWS, ESPN 2 and ESPN 3 will all be hosting the playoffs, which will also be viewable on Disney XD and via the DisneyNOW and ESPN apps. "The deal is historic as it will mark the first live telecast of esports on ESPN in primetime and also the first broadcast of a competitive gaming championship on ABC."
