The latest episode (content update) for DC Universe Online titled "Episode 31: DELUGE" went live today. The update introduces new characters like Black Manta and Corum Rath from the Aquaman family and makes last year's Starro Invasion a permanent feature. The update adds 2 new open world Atlantean areas as well as 2 new Elite raids. Players can also start earning a new event currency called "Atlantean Crowns" which can be exchanged for various in-game goodies. Check out the full details / patch notes here. Hyper Universe Online is an upcoming 2D MOBA that lets players focus on a "jungle farming" play style as crazy characters! I had a lot of fun in the last two previous beta tests that I decided to try the game out once again during the final test. You're probably wondering about the control scheme for this game given it's a 2D MOBA. Everything is controlled with the keyboard in terms of gameplay, upgrading items, using skills, and well I just said everything. The only time a player would be using their mouse is if they want to ping something on the minimap, which is rather inconvenient. Daybreak Game Company has released their outward look for 2017 for DC Universe Online, and the content is looking pretty fancy. To end off the year, Daybreak will once again have an open episode period, allowing players to access (virtually) all episodes regardless of membership or content ownership. Next year’s updates will include large content updates: First, just to doubly reiterate, we are continuing development on large content releases (Episodes), similar to what you are experiencing with Amazon Fury Part III. We know how important new story, new characters, and new primary progression is to everyone’s fun in the game. We are very pleased so far with the new gear system implemented in Episode 27. While we are looking at feedback for minor improvements, the core concepts of the best gear being on the vendor, auto-leveling dropped gear, and so on, remains the plan going forward. Hyper Universe Is Now Officially Playable on Xbox One Hyper Universe, the free to play MOBA, published by Nexon America, is officially available on Xbox One starting today. At launch, 39 diverse characters, each with unique combat abilities and eclectic styles will be available. Hypers will battle in two maps: Delta Station, a military outpost commanded by a powerful captain, and Dragon Refuge, a lush forest environment with a huge dragon hiding deep within the jungle. Additional features include a Custom Match, which helps players practice their skills with friends, and Spectate mode, which allows players to find other Hypers’ matches to observe. As part of the official launch celebration event, from August 7 to September 10, 2018, players who play and win ten matches will receive an Xbox One exclusive Aurora’s Blade Skin for Allen.
