First announced late last year, we finally get to see actual gameplay for Tales of Crestoria recently when developer Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed a couple of trailers (we merged them into 1 below). A really cool and fresh concept! Just an side note, it was mentioned that the story script was written by Jun Kumagai. As you can see from the trailer above, combat is back to the classic JRPG turn-based system. Other than each character aligning with an element and having an ultimate skill known as “Mystic Arte,” you can see from that … [Read more...] about – New trailer revealed for upcoming mobile JRPG

The western market does not have a choice, so we will refrain from touting the China version too much. • One Punch Man: Road to Hero is basically a character collection game, where characters from both Hero and … [Read more...] about – Quick look at Closed Beta phase of upcoming mobile hero RPG

So last week I published a video titled “Are MMORPGs Worth Playing Anymore? The State Of MMOs And MMORPGs In 2018”. In it, I went over the state that MMORPGs were currently in during 2017, and how I thought they were going to progress moving forward into 2018. If you haven’t seen that video, then you may want to check the comment section for a pinned comment with the video link. Regardless of whether or not you’ve seen the video, I went over how there were a significant amount of mobile MMORPGs on the horizon, and how the balance of mobile MMORPG to desktop MMORPG was shifting. Every month there is news of new MMORPGs entering creation – and just as often, we’re hit with the fact that they are also targeted at mobile gamers. Gone is the time when the majority of MMORPGs were designed for desktop gamers. These days, it’s all about them mobile games and the microtransaction business model.
