Destiny 2 expansion is just around the corner according to Bungie's revised development roadmap. The Warmind expansion will go live on May 8th and will introduce new heroes, new battle enemies, and new activities where players will get the chance to earn new loot. May 8th will also mark the start of Season 3. Season3 will feature new Warmind-themed Crucible maps, new Arenas, and private matches. “For every player of Destiny 2, we’ll be releasing all of the new Crucible Maps being developed for Warmind into matchmaking. The same goes for the maps we released with Curse of Osiris,” says Bungie. “To keep the community in the Crucible unified, everyone will see new arenas in matchmade playlists like Quickplay, Competitive, Trials of the Nine, Iron Banner, as well as the new weekly rotators that include Rumble and Mayhem. That means more opponents for everyone.” Check out the revised development roadmap below. There were many titles last year that rubbed gamers the wrong way. Whether it was through excessive microtransactions, lack of content, frustrating content, or a complete opposite of what the previous game was in the series, players had a lot to be upset about. One of the games that did a lot of these mistakes was Destiny 2. To their credit though, Bungie has been working hard to try and fix things. Since last years launch (and the problems and backlash that came with it), Bungie has been working on various patches to improve things, and they’ve enlisted the community to help them fix things. In their latest update, Bungie outlined certain things for Patch 1.1.4. “Patch notes have been collected, but we’re still applying some elbow grease to get everything in order. One of the most divisive games out right now is Destiny 2. And it doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon. The sequel to the very successful sci-fi game from Bungie had a lot of hype going into it. And yet, when players got a hold of the game all they had were questions. Why was it so different than the original Destiny? Where’s all the endgame content? Why is the Loot system so terrible? And on and on it went. Yet, despite all this, Bungie hasn’t addressed many of these concerns. What’s more, Redditor Blue_13 and others are starting to notice this. Yet, they don’t mention much about the fans or their desires for the game, and that should change in his mind: “But I know you guys look at this forum and lately it’s been the same argument popping up on the front page and I agree with most all of it.” He is right, … [Read more...] about Will Bungie Be “Transparent” About Destiny 2 Fan Concerns
When Destiny 2 launched, there was a lot of hype behind it, and for good reasons. Bungie did create a majestic title in the original Destiny, and though it stumbled out of the gate, by the time they ended its run, it was a good title in the eyes of many fans. Thus, they looked forward to seeing what would be advanced in the sequel. But, that didn’t happen. Instead, many players view the sequel as a step backwards, as it got rid of much of the original game, and substituted it with inferior game mechanics and design. Yet, there’s no explanation as to why Bungie did this. What were they trying to prove? Well, Redditor Gold3nSun believes he found the perfect answer. While scouring Youtube they found a comment that paints a good picture of the situation. “”If you look at it from a sports standpoint, they basically looked at the people in Major league baseball and the people in Minor league baseball and said “how do we get it so these two divisions can play … [Read more...] about Baseball Analogy Perfectly Sums Destiny 2?
