The face of Nintendo in the western market at game events throughout the years, he will certainly be missed. It is time for someone to step up and fill his presidential shoes, and Bowser has been elected to the seat. Looks like there’s a changing of the guard over at Activision Blizzard: The company just announced that World of Warcraft Executive Producer J. Allen Brack is taking over from Mike Morhaime as president of Blizzard. Villagers & Heroes Announce New Expansion: Wellspring
Mad Otter Games’ fully cross-platform MMORPG, Villagers & Heroes has announced an expansion, coming on May 2018. Villagers & Heroes: Wellspring drops on May 14th, 2018 and follows closely behind the Starfall expansion, which brought huge overhauls and updates to the game. Wellspring’s focus is on the player housing/community experience, which are known as villages. Wellspring will bring new features for village life, such as village politics, where players can run for mayor, and be appointed to local government to help run the village. “Villages are at the heart of our game – where players can come together, build a community, construct their own house, and engage in community projects together,” Said Damon Slye, president of Mad Otter Games. A new official post on the game’s subreddit penned by Hi-Rez President Stewart Chisam puts the game at patching roughly 48 weeks in a year, which is pretty substantial. But it doesn’t matter all that much if the patches aren’t working right, and the post is essentially admitting that that has been the case more often than not lately; patches have beenreleased too early and without enough testing, making all of that speed mean less than nothing. “Our current quality is not at all where it should be, and we strongly believe our quality can and should be better,” Chisam says. “We’ve been saying that for a while, and things have gotten better — but not good enough. So I think bigger changes are needed.
