The rumors were true: Anduin Wrynn is on his way to Heroes of the Storm, yet another Warcraft icon to make that journey. In the MOBA’s patchnotes last night, Bluzzard revealed that Anduin will run as a ranged healer with paladin-like spells including Leap of Faith, Flash Heal, Divine Star, Lightbomb, and Holy World: Salvation. “With Shalamayne by his side, Anduin, King of Stormwind, has entered the Nexus to take his place by his warrior father’s side. Anduin is a Ranged Healer who comes with an arsenal of abilities aimed at keeping his teammates alive, but also has the potential to unleash the Light’s swift justice to enemies on the battlefield.” Blizzard says he’ll be on the PTS through April 29th. … [Read more...] about Heroes of the Storm is picking up another famous WoW character: Anduin Wrynn

Often associated with the wood-paneled, low-lit rooms of James Bond’s favorite casinos, Baccarat is a gentleman’s game that has made its way online with no loss to the elegance of the sport but with all of the rewards from winning. That’s because, with online baccarat, you can spend more time learning the game outside of the pressures of a casino. Focusing on strategy and what works, you can hone your game for other venues or continue to enjoy the 100% authentic experience offered by the online casino. And there’s a ton of advantages to playing online instead of in a physical location, outside of the lessened pressure on your gameplay. Probably the biggest advantage to playing baccarat online is that, being a gentleman’s game, it can be a bit tough for newcomers but it also has its own culture unto itself. Baccarat is often known as a high-rollers game or, in other words, a game for rich people. That’s pretty much the reason celluloid icons like … [Read more...] about Inside the World of Live Casino
Last month, Jason had the opportunity to sit down and chat with some of the heads of Amazon Game Studios. The focus of discussion was their upcoming MMORPG, New World. He spoke to Patrick Gilmore (Studio Head), Scot Lane (Game Director), and Rich Lawrence (Executive Producer). PG: Patrick Gilmore, Studio Head; SL: Scot Lane, Game Director; RL: Rich Lawrence, Executive Producer This is hardly the first Amazon Game Studios title (the first one that comes to mind for me is Airport Mania), but New World could be the most ambitious. What inspired Amazon Game Studios to work towards such a massive MMO game? PG: New World was inspired by a number of things, including a conversation about famous unsolved mysteries—things like Jack the Ripper, Area 51, and the Voynich Manuscript. As we dug into stories like these, we learned about phantom islands, including an island called Antillia that appears on 16th-century maps. We loved the idea of a newly discovered world, crude technology … [Read more...] about New World Interview with Amazon Game Studios’ Staff
Massively OP’s Justin Olivetti has a provocative article on his personal gaming blog, Bio Break, this week on MMORPG housing. “I once again wonder why open world housing is this holy grail that some players and developers seem hellbent on chasing,” he writes. “It’s an ideal, a beautiful mirage couched in the notion of players inhabiting the very world they play, allowing them to stroll through neighborhoods of fellow adventurer’s homes and basking in the connectivity of it all. Yet it’s a failed experiment, one that is proven time and again to have far more drawbacks than benefits.” After listing off his complaints with the mechanic, he ultimately concludes that “we simply don’t need fixed open world housing, even in sandboxes.” But being Justin, he also asked for feedback on why the joys are worth the drawbacks – and how to fix the system so it works instead of running off the rails. That’s just what … [Read more...] about Massively Overthinking: Is open-world housing really a ‘failed’ MMORPG experiment?
I’ve tried many ways to make money online, and never succeeded… but I still kept trying. Here’s my story: Let me first tell you about Tally. Tally is a leading Indian accounting software which is easy to understand and manage. In fact, not too long ago, the words “accounting” and “Tally” were synonymous. Some years back, I was facing some technical problems in Tally. I tried to find out a solution over the net, and I found a very good blog which helped me. Then I started studying and visiting the blog daily. I started talking a lot about Tally, and I started telling people to use it. I decided the best way to advocate for this software was to start a blog (like the blog I was reading). So in 2006, I started my first blog, but time constraints led me to not pursue it very seriously. Now, after one year of active blogging, I feel it worthwhile to share my experiences. My Experience As A Blogger Before blogging, I would surf the net a lot. I … [Read more...] about How Blogging Changed My Life As An Accountant
